<p>Come 31st October, 2011, two new flights will be added to the Kerala route. As the decision to operate direct flights to the southern Indian state is welcomed by all, it will surely enhance the reputation and touring expectations of the travelers coming from every nook and corner.</p>
<p>So, next month onwards, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi will constitute three cities attracting flights to them. Taking into consideration the new route, we find that A-I Express, from Muscat, will be operating daily seven standalone flights per week to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram and there will be four flights on weekly basis to Kochi.</p>
<p>Starting from Salalah, the airline will be operating two standalone flights on weekly basis to Kozhikode. It will include one to Thiruvananthapuram, and one to Kochi. The airline is set to operate with 19 flights on weekly basis.</p>
<p>The current decision can be taken in good spirit. The changes will not only help Air India Express, in wake of new airlines are entering the Sultanate’s commercial aviation market, but it will also help Kerala Tour gain unprecedented heights. In fact, this is what makes it an altogether useful entity in the context of Indian tourism.</p>
<p>In wake of the direct flights, it will consequently result in families travelling back home in time as they could avoid unnecessary delay at different airports. This programme is aimed at enhancing the knowledge and expertise of the travel trade partners enabling them to be better equipped to promote and sell Dubai as a destination.&#8217;Dubai Expert&#8217; is a DTCM Head office driven program but controlled locally by each representative office. This online training programme has 3 distinct courses – &#8216;Know Dubai &#8216;, &#8216;Sell Dubai&#8217; and &#8216;Add Dubai&#8217; with several learning modules within each course. At the end of each module there are simple quizzes designed to provide a sequential learning curve to the travel partner with each module/course becoming more intensive as one progresses further. There is an online registration process which requires a moderator&#8217;s approval to authenticate the applicant and the respective Company. The Dubai Expert Launch was attended by around 300 members from the travel trade industry. Travel partners such as Emirates Airlines, Indigo Airlines, Dubai Visa Processing Centre – VFS Global, Dubai Visa and Marhaba Services and Cox and Kings Marhaba Dubai Visa supported the event. Benefits of completing the training are that post completion of the programme; an individual is certified as a &#8216;Dubai Expert&#8217; and for every 10 people from an organization that successfully complete the programme, the agency/company gets certified as a whole. Besides, there are suite of rewards such as FAM trips, a free Dubai update newsletter, events and tradeshow support and the inclusion of the Dubai Expert logo as a marketing tool in one&#8217;s mails. Commenting on the benefit of the online training programme, Mr. Carl Vaz, Director, DTCM – India said, &#8220;&#8216;Dubai Expert&#8217; is a fun, informative yet easy to complete online training programme for travel specialists. The funds will be used to build operations and marketing teams and for product development.</p>

Founded and launched in December 2010 by by 2 IIT Bombay graduates, Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati, the portal currently offers full day, half day local rentals as well as outstation hires from Mumbai. Olacabs.com collaborates with private taxi owners and brings them onto an online platform for efficient distribution.</p>
