A dedicated toll free number – 1800-266-2003 has also been set-up exclusively for this, especially for passengers stranded on the road on the way to and from airport, to help them get back on wheels at the least possible time. This facility can also be availed by non-members of ‘MyTVS.’

Commenting on the inauguration of 24×7 emergency breakdown services at GMR Hyderabad Airport, Mr. R.
About TVS Automobile Solutions Ltd.

TVS Automobile Solutions (MyTVS) was formed with two core values – Trust & Relationship – by fusing independent service businesses and enveloping car customers with additional features. The objective is to cultivate a well focused no frill service solution as an independent option to discerning car customers across the country.

The bouquet of customer centric businesses offered under the MyTVS brand are – MyTVS All Car Services for multi-brand car services and MyTVS 24 x 7 Emergency Services -an emergency road assistance for mechanical and electrical breakdowns, ambulance, cabs, winch and towing assistance across India (except J&K and North-Eastern States).

The rationale for naming the brand ‘MyTVS’ is simplified into ‘My’ and ‘TVS.’ While the word ‘My’ signifies the relationship, the trust factor comes automatically from the TVS brand.

MyTVS All Car Services:

At present there are 17 ‘MyTVS’ own outlets and 49 All Car Services franchised outlets in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Multi brand car serving as a concept is well accepted by the value seeking car customers in India. The satisfying aspect is the brand ‘MyTVS’ is well recognized by the customers.

Commenting on the launch of the Etios, Mr. Hiroji Onishi, President, TMAP, Marketing and Sales said: “India is an integral part of our global growth strategy. The Etios project is a milestone not only for Toyota in India but for Toyota globally. The Etios Liva has been designed focusing on the Indian customer’s aspirations, tastes and preferences that were gathered, studied and understood through extensive research.
Mr. Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, TKM, said “The Etios project is the first of its kind not for TKM alone, but also for Toyota across the globe. The key to this project, is to make TKM self sufficient by increasing the level of localization. As announced earlier, we plan to locally produce engines and transmissions at Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts, in the third quarter of 2012. This will help us increase the local parts content in the Etios and further contribute to the social and economic growth, by enhancing self sufficiency, generating employment and expanding operations in India. Localization will further help us develop our suppliers and facilitate them to meet global standards of production. It will also generate employment and provide opportunity for expansion and growth, further strengthening our supplier base in India.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa, MD, TKM, said “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our Etios customers. After the good response received by the Etios, we further expanded our production in order to cater to the huge demand.
In line with our ‘customer first philosophy’, we wish to keep our customers happy and satisfied by understanding the customer’s preferences and enhancing the product by incorporating their feedback. With the Etios Liva we have now entered the mass volume segment. Toyota vehicles are now available to all aspirational buyers in the middle income group.

At Toyota, we truly believe in growing with the society. We wish to sell many more vehicles and contribute to the growth of the Indian automobile industry. Entering into the mass volume segment will help us realize this aim.”

Mr. Yoshinori Noritake, Chief Engineer of Etios and Etios Liva said “With the Etios Liva, we aspire to offer the best suited car for the Indian customer at an affordable price, while providing a vehicle that is “one class above”.

The new version includes many new features and enhancements to both Reactis and the Reactis for C Plugin.

Bangalore, INDIA, [June 24, 2011]: AS RELEASED BY Reactive Systems, Inc. Cary, NC; June 23, 2011: Reactive Systems, Inc. announced the V2011 release of its Reactis® testing and validation package for Simulink®/Stateflow® models. The new version includes many new features and enhancements to both Reactis and the Reactis for C Plugin. Some highlights are as follows.

Reactis

A simplified Reactis Tester launch dialog makes it even easier to generate tests from a model. The user may now specify how long automatic test generation should last by giving a maximum run time or maximum number of simulation steps to take while constructing the test vectors. The old launch parameters are also still available.

When running Reactis-generated tests either in Reactis Simulator or in Simulink using the runtests utility, Reactis compares the values computed by a model for top-level output ports and for test points against the values stored in the test suite for those items. Any differences are flagged. Reactis has always supported a global tolerance for performing these comparisons to avoid flagging small rounding errors. A new feature in V2011 enables the specification of a different tolerance for each output or test point.

A new search facility lets you perform a text search of your model for strings matching a pattern you specify. You can easily search Simulink block names and parameters, Stateflow state names and actions, Reactis Validator objective names, configuration variable names, and C code (if you are using the Reactis for C Plugin).

Additionally in V2011:

•	Model initialization speed is improved for some models.
•	Right-clicking on a system in the hierarchy panel offers an option “Copy System Path” which will copy the system path of that subsystem to the clipboard.
•	When extracting a subsystem, the user can select whether or not to include any triggering mechanism for the subsystem in the extracted model.

The following Simulink features are newly supported in V2011:
•	Initial support for MATLAB R2011a models.
•	Newly supported blocks: Rate Limiter, Function-Call Split, Function-Call Feedback Latch.
•	Support enumerated types and values in S-Functions and Legacy Code blocks.

Reactis for C Plugin

V2011 also includes a number of new features in the Reactis for C Plugin. Some highlights are as follows.

•	Comments and inactive C code within #ifdef statements are colored differently to differentiate them from exercised code.
•	Improved reachability analysis to identify and highlight dead code.
•	Allow (small) numeric arrays to be added as watched variables.
•	Produce a warning if:
o	the result of an expression with no side-effects is ignored.
o	a non-void function does not return a value.
o	__declspec and __attribute clauses are used.

About Reactis: Reactis provides automated test-generation and model-validation capabilities for Simulink/Stateflow models of control software. The tool can be used to test for conformance between a model and implementation code, and it can also be employed to validate model behavior. Reactis is used at dozens of companies worldwide in the automotive, aerospace, and heavy equipment industries.

New component libraries and enhanced modeling environment reduce development time for more applications Bangalore, INDIA, [June 17, 2011]: AS RELEASED [...]

New component libraries and enhanced modeling environment reduce development time for more applications

Bangalore, INDIA, [June 17, 2011]: AS RELEASED BY Maplesoft™, Waterloo, Canada; Jun. 15, 2011: Maplesoft™ announced a new release of MapleSim™, the high-performance physical modeling and simulation software. With its broader application scope, streamlined modeling environment, and ability to efficiently simulate even more systems, MapleSim 5 makes it easier to tackle large projects and get results quickly.

MapleSim 5 comes with over 150 new components, including new libraries for magnetics and thermal fluids, which means the power of MapleSim can be applied to even more modeling projects. With these components, customers can use MapleSim 5 to quickly develop a wider range of applications, such as the solenoids in dialysis machines and fuel injection systems, saturating motors and transformers, and heat exchangers for machine cooling systems.

The MapleSim 5 interface includes many new and improved features to reduce model development time and help customers manage the complexity of their models. For example, enhanced diagnostic tools provide early feedback related to the definition of the model itself, such as identifying inconsistent initial conditions. MapleSim then provides assistance in resolving the problem, so corrections can be made before running the simulation. Other additions include increased control over parameters and initial conditions, easy export of 3-D animation simulation results, and streamlined design environments for building both model diagrams and 3-D model representations. The improved simulation engine in MapleSim can now generate highly optimized C code for all MapleSim models. This royalty-free code can be incorporated into other software in the toolchain.

MapleSim uses a fully developed symbolic modeling engine to handle all of the complex mathematics involved in the development of engineering models. This symbolic engine offers unique advantages that expand the modeling and simulation capabilities of engineers. Each MapleSim release further develops these capabilities, which include automatically generated model equations in full parametric form, equation-based custom components, optimized code generation for real-time systems, revolutionary multibody technology, and an interactive analysis environment that captures the full engineering knowledge that goes into each project.

“By leveraging symbolic computation technology, MapleSim offers unique advantages that enable our customers to succeed at very difficult design projects they simply cannot do with other tools,” says Laurent Bernardin, Executive Vice-President and Chief Scientist, Maplesoft. “MapleSim reduces model development time from months to days while producing high-fidelity, high-performance models. With MapleSim 5, our customers can apply those time and cost savings to even more projects, while further reducing the time needed to design their complex models.”

•	Registers 61% growth in sales when compared to the same period last year
•	Growth largely driven by Etios with 4657 units sold in April 2011

Bangalore, May 1st, 2011: Toyota Kirloskar Motor registered sales of 9681 units in April 2011. The company sales grew by 61% when compared to the corresponding period last year. The growth is largely driven by the impressive sales of the Etios with 4657 units in April 2011. The other products showed a drop in sales, a fallout from the production adjustment observed from 25th April to 4th June 2011. The company earlier announced temporary production adjustment in light of the supply difficulties, following the March 11, earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Marketing, TKM said, “The growth last month can be attributed to the encouraging sales of Etios. We have so far sold 12758 units since its launch in Dec last year.
We have incurred a loss of approx 2900 units in April due to the production adjustment. However, the actual impact of the temporary production adjustment will be felt in the month of May, as we will operate at 30% of our normal capacity. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers. Our dealers will be in constant touch with them and will keep them updated on the developments. This is just a temporary phase, we will resume production as soon as possible. Until then, we seek our customers support and understanding in these troubled times.” Visit

Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, April 27, 2011 – Dürr is building the prototype of the Green Paint Shop for BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. (BBA) in Shenyang, China. All of the technological innovations that Dürr has to offer in terms of environmentally friendly, sustainable automotive painting will be used in this paint shop.

The customer has clear visions for its paint shop in Shenyang: the goal is to create nothing short of the world’s most environmentally friendly plant. The general contractor Dürr, with its diverse approaches to resource-saving painting, is the ideal partner for this.

RoDip M rotational dip coating is used in the PT/ED area. The rotational movement of the car bodies thus allows inclined sections at the entrance and exit of the dip tank to be eliminated. This fact leads not only to a significant savings of space, but also to a reduced consumption of energy and chemicals due to smaller bath volumes.

Other technical features that highlight this “green” attribute are the fully automatic IPP (Integrated Paint Process), which eliminates the need for primer and thus a drying phase as well. The spray booths are equipped with EcoDryScrubber technology, the innovative dry separation method from Dürr which requires no water or chemicals. In this way air recirculation allows a 60% savings in energy. The saturated binding material – a hazardous waste in conventional processes – can be re-used without any further treatment. Dürr’s dry separation systems are already in use or under construction in 40 paint lines on four continents.

Paint will be applied with 32 type EcoRP E033 and EcoRP L133 painting robots from Dürr. These are equipped with the latest generation of atomizer, the EcoBell3, which is characterized by its significantly higher atomizer performance. Due to the EcoBell3′s compact design, both exterior and interior painting can be done with the same rotating atomizer. In conjunction with the EcoLCC color changer, the EcoBell3 offers a highly efficient and compact, but also easy, application system for all applications. This leads to minimal paint loss during color changes and this process is considerably shortened.

A further measure for protecting the environment, the use of heat wheels for heat recovery from supply and exhaust air. Even the waste heat from the dryers is recovered through a waste heat boiler. The exhaust air stream from the clear coat booth is purified over and above the regulatory requirements before leaving the facility. Through the use of membrane technology in the pretreatment, electro dipping and waste water system, both water consumption and the amount of waste water are reduced.

With its layout philosophy, Dürr creates favorable conditions for this prototype of a green paint shop. The framework constitutes a simple, inexpensive industrial building with no intermediate levels. This concept is supported by multi-functional car body stacks in the form of high-rise storage facilities to ensure an optimum flow of materials.

Along with the environment, this project features another winner: the customer can lay claim to operating the most sustainable “green” paint shop in the world. The specific energy consumption that BMW reaches with this new paint shop sets new standards worldwide, as less than 500 kilowatt hours of energy are needed per painted car body. This is only a third of what was common just ten years ago.

At the same time much emphasis is placed on having a worker-friendly work environment: ergonomic working conditions are just as standard as ease of communication and maintenance. That BMW’s quality standards will in this way be guaranteed goes without saying.

Dürr is a mechanical and plant engineering group that holds leading positions in the world market in its areas of operation. It generates a good 80% of its sales in business with the automotive industry. It furthermore supplies the aircraft, machinery, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries with innovative production and environmental technologies. The Dürr Group operates in the market with three divisions. The Paint and Assembly Systems division supplies production and painting technology, especially for car bodies. Machinery and systems from the Measuring and Process Systems division are used in engine and transmission manufacturing and in final vehicle assembly, among other areas. The third division, Clean Technology Systems, is focused on processes to improve energy efficiency and on exhaust air purification. Dürr has 48 business locations in 21 countries worldwide. The Group achieved sales of € 1.26 billion with approximately 5,900 employees in 2010.
