<p>Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), the national association of PR practitioners was established in 1958 to promote the recognition of public relations as a profession and to formulate and interpret to the public the objectives and the potentialities of public relations as a strategic management function.</p>
<p>The society functioned as an informal body till 1966 when it was registered under the Indian Societies Act XXVI of 1961, with headquarters in Mumbai. The father-figure of professional PR practitioners in India, Kali H. Mody, was the founder President of PRSI from 1966 to 1969. Chapters were launched in Mumbai, Delhi. Chennai and Kolkata till 1969.</p>
<p>Earlier in 1965, another professional body, the Public Relations Circle” was been founded and registered in Kolkata. It was the first ever association of professional PR practitioners in Eastern India and was doing commendable work. However, at the First All India PR Conference in 1968, at New Delhi members of the Public Relations Circle, Kolkata, unanimously decided to disband the regional organization to strengthen the national body, thus forming the Kolkata Chapter of PRSI, in 1969.</p>
<p>The management of the Public Relations society of India is vested in the National Council, consisting of representatives elected by all the regional chapters.</p>
<p>The members of the society are public relations practitioners from Multinationals, Govt,. Public and Private sector ,Academics and PR consultants .</p>

This is a dual qualification program awarding both the PGDPC and MMC (Masters in Mass Communication) from Guru Jambheshwar University.<br />
The program is heavily integrated with industry with leading Advertising, PR and communication experts interacting with the students regularly. The Delhi School of Communication conceptualized the concept of apprenticeship and internships as part of the regular curriculum. Students are placed for internships (full day work experience) for more than 5 months and are placed for apprenticeships (half day work experience) between 3 to 6 months. Students earn attractive stipends alongside obtaining valuable work experience.</p>
<p>The phenomenal work experience gained during the program combined with a small class size ensures outstanding placements in leading Advertising, PR, Media companies and Television and broadcasting units. <p>First Exchange in Asia to adopt Bloomberg&#8217;s Open Symbology</p>
<p>Mumbai, June 27, 2011 &#8212; Ace Derivatives and Commodity Exchange Limited, a Kotak Group anchored commodity exchange in India, has successfully completed integration of the Bloomberg Global Identifier (‘BBGID’).  The Exchange supports Bloomberg’s Open Symbology (BSYM), and is the first exchange to adopt the BBGID in Asia.</p>
<p>Dilip Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer of Ace Commodity Exchange said, “We see Bloomberg’s Open Symbology gaining traction, in particular amongst exchanges, because it is assigned at the exchange level. This fulfills an ongoing need of our customer base.”</p>
<p>Ace Commodity Exchange’s daily prices are tracked live on the Bloomberg Professional service at BBGID . “Ace Commodity Exchange joins a global list of exchanges and third parties that have adopted Bloomberg’s Open Symbology platform and are helping it become an industry standard,” said Peter Warms Head of Bloomberg’s Data License and Symbology Business, “BYSM’s comprehensive, yet intuitive rulebook provides clarity, transparency and efficiency the global marketplace.”</p>
<p>The Bloomberg Global ID (‘BBGID’) is at the heart of Bloomberg&#8217;s Open Symbology initiative launched in November 2009. The BBGID is a 12-digit alphanumerical identifier that comprehensively covers more than 36 million active and inactive securities globally. It is available free of licensing fees and is completely inclusive of far-reaching systems and services, and uses standard symbology across all global asset classes.</p>
