21st Feb 2012 – Alila Bangalore and ‘TAAQADEMY, Thermal And A Quarter’s music academy’ bring you the freshest musical talent on the Bangalore rock circuit. This Saturday, witness an earth shattering performance by the band ‘Mad Orange Fireworks’, who will be playing live at high 5 bar overlooking the hotel’s exclusive rooftop infinity pool. Mad Orange Fireworks will be featuring three of Bangalore’s top female vocalists, Alexis D’souza, Jerusha Verghese and Deepa Jacob.

Mad Orange Fireworks is a three piece band based out of Bangalore with members from various corners of south India. The sound of the band doesn’t exactly fall under a particular genre of music and hence we call it orange rock. Briefly put together, if John Mayer sang like Dave Matthews and had Flea on bass and Gavin Harrison on drums, Orange Rock would be the result.

About Mad Orange Fireworks
The band was put together as a desperate act of survival by singer/songwriter Michael Dias. With a song bank in his head building up for over 7 years now, he needed to let it all out somehow. After around a year of hunting down the right accompanies, it was just by chance that he met metal head Shravan Bendapudi. The two jammed up and hit it off right away. The same chemistry came about previously when Michael started playing with the ever groovin Kaushik Kumar on the bass. And when the three came together, the fireworks just lit up the atmosphere… The creative conflicts that came about when Michael introduced his unique guitar sounds to Kaushik’s funkiness were immense. And all this was hammered down to a perfect combo when Shravan layered his beats in. As a result, we have “MAD ORANGE FIREWORKS!!!”
