Indore, M.P., November 14, 2011. Founder and Managing Director of Purple Focus, Pankaj Acharya has been conferred with the ‘Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award’ at the prestigious ‘Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2011 (APEA)– India”.

The event took place at a glittering function held at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on Friday, November 11, 2011. It was attended by who’s who of Indian business world. The gala ceremony was organized by Enterprise Asia, which is a prominent non-governmental organization committed to entrepreneurship development which is supported by local governments and businesses.

The Chief guest of the evening were Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Salman Khurshid, Minister of Law & Justice and Minority Affairs, Justice Katjoo, former judge of the Supreme Court and newly appointed Chairman of the Press Council of India (PCI), Bibek Debroy, renowned economist and Professor, Centre for Policy Research, William NG, President, Enterprise Asia.

The award is a recognition not only of Pankaj’s success in developing and expanding his business from the scratch and the vision he holds, but also of the entrepreneurial attributes he has demonstrated in the process. Among the specific qualities that have been recognized is the innovative and path-breaking owner-manager business model that he successfully implemented.

The Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award is a regional recognition program for outstanding entrepreneurs across Asia. These awards are conferred upon to honor enterprising men and women who have proven their enterprise spirit. Recipient is an entrepreneur who has displayed outstanding accomplishment and has the vision and plans to lead their companies to be leading business in the future. These individuals continue to provide the vision and direction to their companies and are poised to be captains of their respective industries in the future.
