The Lions Club Bhopal Lake city organized Knowledge Sharing Workshop

Bhopal 5 Oct 2011: The Lions Club Bhopal Lake city in association with Govindpura Industrial Association, Bhopal (GIAB) has Organized Knowledge Sharing Workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Govindpura Industrial Association Complex, BHOPAL.

Mr Manoj Shrivastava, IAS Commissioner Bhopal Division emphasized on
Civil courage award , Quality circle , First responder award , Senior citizen card program , Privilege program policy ( PPP) and Program of giving circle participation and program.

He added combining social action with good community relations and employee development businesses would provide solutions to strengthen the local economy, build goodwill towards their companies and achieve business goals.

C.E. Fernandes, CMD, GEI Industrial Systems Ltd. Bhopal “We will have to move from a model of Corporate Social Responsibility to a model of Continuous Social Business through enterprise and entrepreneurship,”.

The Workshop aimed at providing the right platform to define the scope of corporate social responsibility and the means and modes of its delivery to the society.

Nikunj Shrivastava , Collector Bhopal explained how professional bodies can play an important role in promoting good governance.

“The purpose of any business cannot be only profit. Profit for the shareholders is important. But unless entrepreneurs have a larger purpose and businesses that change lives of millions of people, a sustainable business cannot be created,” said Mukesh Mathur Dist. Pradeep Karambelkar, President, Lions Club Bhopal Lake city and Mr. Nanda was also present on the occasion.
