New Delhi, 31st May: Turkish Airlines, Europe’s fastest growing airline company adds 11 new destinations to it’s extensive network in 2011, thereby making it a total of 180 destinations worldwide. The airline operates flights all over the world from North & South America to Europe; Asia and Africa. The airline has its main base in Istanbul, which is considered the natural hub of the world due to its advantageous location.
Turkish Airlines in the first four months of 2011 started 4 weekly flights to Guangzhou in China after its existing destinations, Beijing and Shanghai. The Airline now also operates to Los Angeles 4 times a week apart from Chicago, Washington, New York and Toronto in North America and from Sao Paulo in South America. There are also 4 weekly flights to Shiraz in Iran other than the existing destinations, Tehran, Mashad and Tabriz.4 weekly flights to Valencia and 3 weekly flights to Malaga are added destinations in Spain after Barcelona and Madrid. The airline now also operates 3 weekly flights to Toulouse in France which is the fourth destination after Lyon, Nice and Paris.
Turkish Airlines will additionally be flying to Thessaloniki 4 times a week from 27th May, 2011. This would be the airlines’ second destination in Greece after Athens. June onwards, the airline will also be flying to 3 new destinations in Italy, Genoa – 5 times a week, Naples – 3 times a week, Turin– 3 times a week after the already existing Rome, Milan, Venice and Bologna.
Whether it is better connectivity or expedient airfares, Turkish Airlines is going all out to offer the best services. The airline is offering its fliers special promotional fares for all the newly started destinations. Fares to destinations like Valencia, Malaga and Toulouse start from INR15,770 while Genoa and Turin fares start from INR 14,765.Not only this, promotional fares to Los Angeles and other destinations like New York, Washington and Chicago in the USA start from as low as INR 28,060 while Toronto fares start at INR 34,665. Sao Paulo airfares start from INR 55,375 whereas UK fares covering London, Birmingham and Manchester start from INR 17,860. Starting fares to France are INR 15,770 while Germany and Italy fares start from INR 18,455.
As the holiday season approaches, it is a much needed strategic move taken by the company to please their customers in India. While the airline is currently operating seven flights from Mumbai and Delhi, it is gearing up to compete with their Asian and American counterparts.
