INDIAN PRESS PROMOTES HAITI EARTHQUAKE DOCUMENTARY BY GARY DAVIS
Earthquake Survivor joins the team in Making Haiti Earthquake Documentary

New Delhi, India, August 16, 2010: There was a fundraiser and resource donation event on July 31st at Studio D114 headed up by Gene Rouzzoe in which entertainers collected over 20 boxes of clothes, various electronic items and 10 boxes of hygiene items.  There is still a financial need of $8,000 for travel, lodging and logistics for the Haiti earthquake documentary.

Will Jestine a survivor has joined Gene Rouzzoe, Filmmaker and their coalition of entertainers have set forth to document the aftermath and the effect that it has had on the children, social and political environment of Haiti. The coalition wants to raise awareness of earthquake aftermath for the poorest third world country in the western hemisphere.

Mr. Davis has spoken with the Director of WXEL (a broadcasting network) of South Florida and a PBS affiliate who is very interested in the project and could take over and air the documentary. They feel that since South Florida has the largest Haitian population outside of Haiti, such initiative will be warmly received by the Haitian Diaspora in respected communities. All that remains is a matter of attaining coverage on a larger scale.

Jerry Dimanche, a supporter for the project states “When faced with adversity, we must all help each other not just our own.”   Although there is much physical and human resources for the documentary currently in production, there are financial needs to produce the documentary. Will Jestine, his wife and children survived the earthquake have volunteered their assistance and testimony in the upcoming documentary.
