CELEBRATE SERVICE WEEK – THE IHG WAY
IHG hotels in India join a week-long global celebration to say ‘Thank You’ to its employees
New Delhi, India, July 27, 2010 / IndiaPRLine / — IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms, is celebrating a week-long ‘Thank You’ marathon from 26-30 July 2010 across their 4,400 hotels globally. The participating IHG hotels in India are organizing various fun-filled activities for their employees to say ‘Thank You’ and reward them for their achievements.
“Celebrate Service Week” – an initiative launched by IHG in partnership with its Owners’ Association, the IAHI, is designed to give back to their people who work tirelessly every day for their guests. The week is dedicated to celebrating the 330,000 people, from accountants to chefs and housekeeping to HR, who work across its hotels and offices, for their invaluable contribution. This is the largest recognition initiative in the hospitality industry.

As part of the celebrations, IHG hotels in India have planned a number of exciting activities to celebrate and thank its employees.
Crowne Plaza Bengaluru Electronic City is welcoming families of employees for a full day program of sports and cultural events along with a barbeque in the evening. The hotel is also hosting lunch with the General Manager for the best employee nominees.
At the same time, Crowne Plaza Okhla is encouraging its employees to be environment friendly by planting trees. Recognizing the need for a healthy life style, the hotel is also arranging for a distressing yoga session for all. As a token of appreciation of the efforts of their people, the General Manager of the hotel will manage the front desk and handle all check-in and check-out for 1 hour.
At Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, the entire week will be celebrated with different theme lunches featuring regional delicacies every day. The celebrations will be concluded with a video presentation of the activities recorded throughout the week.
Similarly, Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon will capture the experiences of the employees during the week. The hotel will choose four lucky winners daily, who would be treated with beauty treatments, and a luxurious limousine pick-up. Other lucky staff members will also stand to win a complimentary night stay at the hotel.
Additionally, all the hotels will extend their gratitude by crafting special personalized thank you cards to all the team members and their families.
